Good Neighbor Handyman and Construction Services, LLC was started in 2001 by Stephanie and Jody Roscoe. Already working in the construction field, Jody was interested in learning more about home renovations. Jody made a deal with a friend to renovate his newly acquired rental property. Together they jumped right in; Jody teaching himself how to remodel a home, from the studs out, Stephanie teaching herself how to manage the project and budget. Both continued to work in the construction field for the next seven years. In his spare time, Jody studied and cultivated his craft by working on projects for friends and family.
In 2008, Stephanie and Jody officially opened their own business, then named Good Neighbor Handyman and Cleaning Services, LLC. Over the past twelve years, Good Neighbor has grown from a one man handyman operation to a small crew. Jody continues to be out there every day, completing projects, connecting with clients, and ensuring that his staff is providing the same quality service and craftsmanship they are known for. Stephanie continues to manage the business, connecting with clients, managing accounts, and completing home assessments and quality control visits.
Zach joined our team in 2016. Like Jody, he has taught himself the trade by completing projects on his own home and those of his family and friends. Zach is our safety officer and our go to guy for project research. Zach enjoys darts, art, leather work. and travel.
Katie is our admin assistant since 2019. She keeps us organized and on task, with over eight years of management experience behind her. Katie works from home while also caring for their two young children. I
Good Neighbor family
Stephanie and Jody Roscoe are the owner-operators of Good Neighbor, LLC. Both have been in the construction business for over 20 years, deciding to open their own business in 2008.
Stephanie has worked in administration and office management for 18 years; 15 of those years were in the construction field. Before she opened Good Neighbor, she helped a friend start and run a painting business. She may not swing a hammer but has an excellent eye for detail when it comes to estimates, home inspections, and quality control. Stephanie manages all of the day to day operations as well as business development.
Jody has a wide range of skills from painter to finished carpenter to radon mitigation and mold specialist. His portfolio includes historical restoration, home remodels, hardwood flooring, decks, fencing, outdoor sheds and cabanas, furniture making, etc… Jody has been working in construction for over 20 years, and his work has been featured on remodelaholics.com
Together, they have built their business on repeat clients and word of mouth, and have a reputation as contractors who are honest, operate with integrity, and provide affordable, quality craftsmanship. .
When Jody and Stephanie aren't busy with Good Neighbor, they are working on their other business, a wedding venue in South Carolina! They have four children, and enjoy camping and travel as a family. Jody and Stephanie also like to run obstacle course races together. They also operate a non-profit that helps children and young people access education and vocation training in West Africa. A portion of Good Neighbor proceeds go to this cause.
Gabe has been with us since 2018. Another self taught handyman, his attention to detail and ability to problem solve complex repairs is a great asset to our team. Gabe enjoys playing darts and is apart of a local team, along with Zach.
